Sate Sambas is a row of several Maduranese satay seller on the Sungai Sambas alley, just beside Taman Sambas. People sit on the ground enjoying their satay on the roadside (along with a few street cats). I ordered chicken satay with the first stall closest to the main road, by Mr. Rofi'i. After about 15 minutes my plate arrived. I'm immediately pleased. The satay was really big & generous, and they give plenty of peanut sauce. The sauce is really delicious though, I even asked a refill. This will be my top chicken satay in Jakarta from now on. As far as street side stall goes, the vibe was humble, the price acceptable, and the food was top tier.

The best taichan satay I've tried. You should too. They're not very expensive, and their cart is easy to find. You can find them near the park, but there's no tent so it's all outdoor. You can't it here when it rain. They only sell food, so you should buy beverages from other tenant here. Would really like to come back again.

My most favorite place to eat chicken satay, there are several traditional satay carts here, most of the cart sells chicken satay and some also sells lamb satay. We can order chicken satay with lontong (rice cake wrapped in leaves) and we can dine in the car. The seller will deliver the meals in the car. During this Covid 19 condition, it is more comfortable to eat in the car due to the social distancing protocol.

similar with gultik, there are actually 3 satay sellers with gerobak, each with similar menus : chicken satay, taichan satay, and goat satay. we tried there of them, but from different sellers. I like chicken satay, but my friend like taichan. so I guess it is fair to say if they are all quite delicious. price ranging from 30 to 40 thousands IDR.

"Sate Sambas" in Blok M is a bustling hotspot, especially as night falls, drawing crowds with its flavorful satay. Priced at 30k per portion, the satay comes with generous meat portions. Seating is unique, sitting on mats directly on the ground, creating a cozy atmosphere. It's an ideal spot for a night out with friends or a romantic evening. If it gets too crowded, the sellers are accommodating, even offering to deliver your order to your nearby parked car. A great place for satay enthusiasts seeking a lively and unconventional dining experience.

The taste is very good, the portion is just right, but the chili sauce is too spicy for me, what is missing is just a little expensive for the price, although this is a common thing in the Southern Jakarta area.
